Why Is My iPad Storage Always Full and How Can I Free Up Space?

I’m using a 64GB iPad (likely the 9th gen), and it keeps showing “storage full” warnings even after deleting apps and files. The space doesn’t seem to change at all. Am I missing something? I’d prefer not to reset the device. Any simple tips to clear storage would be really helpful! 🙏

Apps, photos/videos, system updates and other cache files usually consume the memory of ipads. To clear up some space: uninstall unnecessary applications, clear up giant images/pictures (or save them in a cloud), empty out browser/ cache history, check Other storage in setting and delete ancient message attachments.

Your iPad fills up due to large apps, photos/videos, cached data, and system storage. Free space by deleting unused apps, offloading app data, clearing browser/app caches, backing up photos to iCloud or external storage, removing old messages, and updating iPadOS, which can optimize storage.

Your iPad fills up because apps, photos, cached data, and system files quietly pile up over time. Free up space by deleting unused apps, clearing Safari/cache, offloading apps, moving photos to iCloud/Google Photos, and removing large files you no longer need.

To free space:
  • Delete unused apps.
  • Offload apps in Settings → iPad Storage.
  • Move photos/videos to iCloud or external storage.
  • Clear Safari data.
  • Delete old messages and media.
  • Restart the device to refresh system storage
