I’m trying to find out why my Windows PC keeps crashing randomly, but I don’t know where to see the crash or error logs. I’ve heard there’s something like Event Viewer, but I’m not sure how to use it or where to look exactly.

Can someone please explain how to view or check Windows crash/error logs step-by-step? I just want to understand what’s causing these system issues.

These applications display the specifications of failures within a system and troubleshooting the crash or application.
  1. Crash nomer is used to check crash logs:
  2. Event Viewer Windows Logs/System/Application.
  3. Reliability Monitor 3 Search Reliability History.

Using the integrated Reliability Monitor is the simplest method.
  1. Look up "Reliability" and select "View reliability history."
  2. On the graph, look for red X icons, which stand for Critical Events.
  3. To view a summary of recent crashes and the error details related to them, click on the date.
As an alternative, filter the system log for critical and error levels using Event Viewer.

To check Windows crash or error logs easily, open the Event Viewer by typing it in the Start menu. Navigate to Windows Logs > System or Application to view errors and warnings. Look for red “Error” or yellow “Warning” icons. You can filter logs by date or use the Reliability Monitor for a simpler overview.

Accessing Windows crash and error logs is very simple with the use of Event Viewer. Just type "Event Viewer" in the search bar and open it. Then go to Windows Logs and choose System or Application logs to see critical errors or warnings during the period of the crash.

You can easily check Windows crash or error logs using Event Viewer. Press Win + R, type eventvwr, and open Windows Logs → System or Application. Look for red error icons. Tools like Reliability Monitor also simplify viewing crash details.
