How do I fix the Windows 0xc0000005 error?

I keep getting the Windows 0xc0000005 error when trying to launch certain programs, and it crashes immediately. I’ve tried basic restarts but nothing helps—any suggestions on what might be causing this and how to fix it?

This mistake may be caused by corrupt system files, problematic RAM, or incompatible drivers and executing SFC/DISM, verifying the memory, recalling the drivers, or uninstalling recently installed problematic software will usually clear it away.
