I feel a bit stuck trying to restart my iPhone because the button combinations can be confusing. How do you usually restart your iPhone, and is the process different for newer models?

Most of the time, to reset the iPhone, I press both the sleep/wake button and another volume button on the device together for a while until I see the “slide to power off” slider show up. From there, I turn the device off before turning it back on.
The process can be a little confusing because it varies by iPhone model. On newer iPhones, press and hold the side button and a volume button together, then slide to power off. Once the device shuts down completely, hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears.
If your iPhone is responding normally, restarting it is pretty simple. Use the power-off slider, wait about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. I restart mine occasionally when apps start acting up, and it often fixes small performance or connectivity issues.
