I'm trying to find and view older emails in Outlook, but I can't see messages from several months or years ago. Has anyone experienced this, and what steps can I take to access old emails in Outlook?

The same problem occurred for me on Outlook some time ago. My problem was that newer emails were shown while older ones weren't downloaded by the program for some reason. I recommend checking your account and synchronizing everything as well as checking the Archive folder where emails tend to be automatically transferred.
It is possible that Outlook is connected to another email account with another data file. This may have happened if older emails were saved in an archive or PST file. Moreover, you can try using the advanced search tool to find messages sent in a certain date range.
This happened to me after I switched computers and the old computer was no longer accessible. Old emails stopped showing in my Outlook until I corrected the settings and made Outlook download them as well. In addition, you might want to check Deleted Items and Archive folders.
